Space Rocks 0.1 (GameMaker Tutorial Project)

Space Rocks is a work in progress that I am uploading to record my progress as an aspiring game developer. Made in GameMakerStudio2 using stock assets.

Fly around space and shoot the asteroids!

Up Arrow Key -> Accelerate

Left Arrow Key -> Rotate left

Right Arrow Key -> Rotate right

Space -> Shoot

~Personal changes from the video~

• Shoot with SPACE, not LMB (Left mouse button)
• Starts in full-screen
• Can switch to windowed mode with ALT-ENTER
• Windowed mode can be maximized

My own plans

• As of right now, the only way to exit the game is either switching to windowed mode with ALT-ENTER and then exiting using the window bar, or pressing ALT-F4.
• 3 lives and then game over
• Recording the high score, and saving it for the next session
